Only use hand-luggage

If you possibly can, only travel with hand luggage. You’ll have loads of time and more importantly you know your bags will make it to their destination. I never would have thought it possible to get the sheet music for two shows, CDs to sell, toiletries and all the clothes I might need for a week away into two small bags – but I learned how. Years ago I had a three day cruise with Carnival and it was a contractual requirement to travel with hand luggage only. I figured it out, saw the benefits and figured if I could make it work for 3 days I could make it work for 7. Now I never check a bag. There’s a whole section about this in the book.
