Are you getting forgetful?

We recently moved into a new home in Tenerife. My boyfriend is worried about me because I still don’t know how to use the kitchen tap. It’s a mixer tap - turn it one way for hot and the other for cold. Even though there’s a 50/50 change of getting right, I always seem to get it wrong. The red and blue dots on top of the tap confuse me. I’ve just started telling myself “caliente” means hot and it has an “l” in it for left. I think I’ve cracked it.I’m just as confused every time I leave a shop. Instead of turning left to continue working my way down the street, I invariably go right, back to where I just came from. Sometimes I'm talking friends - good friends - and half way through the conversation I forget their names.Philip thinks I should see someone about my memory issues but then I remind him that I know the words to 100s of songs and he shuts up. I’m confident I won’t let you down. Whether I can find the venue is another matter.
