Williams establishes great rapport with the audience, and has no trouble getting us to reproduce playful groans to punctuate the cha-cha-cha rhythms of ‘Papa loves mambo’.

Angel Eyes and Don’t Worry About Be, both torch songs which are not normally part of most singers book of songs. Both were sung superbly – a joy to hear them again as they are now becoming neglected songs.

This is a sensitive performer who demonstrates, even in the snippets of songs he is able to give us an ability to move an audience as well as amuse.

To hear standards sung by an accomplished crooner like Williams is many people’s kind of music.
