In Conversation with Lorna Luft
Lorna Luft is an American television, stage, and film actress and singer. She is the daughter of Judy Garland and Sid Luft, and the half-sister of Liza Minnelli. She made her show business debut at age 11 singing "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" on the 1963 Christmas episode of her mother's CBS television series, The Judy Garland Show. Her theatre credits include Grease, Mame, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Guys and Dolls, Follies, Gipsy, White Christmas... the list goes on. In this interview she talks about working with legendary Broadway producer David Merrick in Promises Promises and carrying the torch of her mother's legacy. She shares stories about her friends Bobby Darrin, Barry Manilow and her godfather Frank Sinatra and tell me what it was like getting back on stage after her battle with cancer. “Happiness,” she told me, “is being here... being in the moment.”
