In Conversation with Guy Barker

Guy Barker comes from true showbiz stock – his mum is an actress and his dad was a stuntman. He's recognised as one of the UK's finest trumpet players and has worked with such varied names as Wham, Erasure, Kajagoogoo, Sammy Davis, Liza Minelli, Gill Evans, Clare Teal, Quincy Jones, George Benson and Oscar Peterson. He was awarded an MBE for services to jazz but happily crosses over into classical music. In this interview he tells me about meeting his childhood hero, working with Matt Damon, and the benefits of meditation. He dispels a famous myth about Miles Davis and shares the joy of working with Frank Sinatra.
