In Conversation with Jeremy King OBE

In 2014 Jeremy King, was awarded an OBE and is quite rightly hailed as one of the country's most successful restaurateurs. With his business partner Chris Corbin he's been responsible for Le Caprice, the Ivy, Brasserie Zedel, and the Wolseley - officially the most successful restaurant London has ever seen. His happy customers have included movie stars, royalty and great artistes.

A keen supporter of the arts, he's on the boards of the Soho Theatre, the Chelsea Arts Club and driving force behind's London's most stylish cabaret room, The Crazy Coqs.

He likes to a touch of theatre to the dining experience saying, when it's close to opening time “everybody gets into costume, does their make-up and then performs. It’s showtime”.

In this interview we talk about singing with Lucian Freud, how to handle a bad review, the secret to a happy marriage, Meryl Streep's star quality and trusting his future to the throw of the dice.
