In Harrogate recently I needed to come up with a few words to sum up my show, something to go underneath my name to give people an idea of what they’d be getting if they bought a ticket – a strap line, if you will. Sitting in Betty’s chewing my pen, searching for inspiration, I noticed a local bus driving by, “The Little Red Bus,” it said, “Getting you there”. Well, I should hope so.

London is an incredible city. Today, passing by the British Library with a few minutes to spare I popped in to see the Magna Carta, Gutenberg Bible and the original lyrics for ‘Michelle’ scratched by Paul McCartney on the back of an envelope.
A 30 minute walk down the road is The Wallace Collection where I found Titians, the famous ‘Laughing Cavalier’, and Ary Scheffer’s astonishing ‘Francesca da Rimini’. (Read more…)
I’m on the Edinburgh train enjoying a free breakfast. Being in first class, we’re all feeling rather pleased with ourselves but the truth is non of us really belongs here. The only thing we in coach M have in common is we bought our tickets at a huge discount. We’re the cheapest people on the train. (Read more…)
