You may remember me telling you about my wonderful trip to Kerala in south India last year where I enjoyed the hospitality of Jos and his family at the Gramam Homestay in Cochin (I still miss the food!). I had the opportunity to visit a couple of schools there to see kids of all ages receive an education. It was a terrific experience and of course I made a small donation to a chamring principle who raised her hands with joy and said she’d been praying some money so she could buy a CD player and teach the children music and dancing.
It’s humbling and rewarding to see what a difference such a small amount can make and realise how much we take for granted. They’ve just sent me these photos. Seeing their faces radiating joy like that I can only assume they are all enjoying “Gary Williams Meets Frank Sinatra”.
